Kenneth B. Taylor
Kenneth B. Taylor, 75, of Trafalgar, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
The son of Lloyd G. and Sophia V. (Hawk) Taylor, Kenneth was born Feb. 1, 1938, in Marion County.
He owned and operated Taylor Body Shop from 1968 to 1989. Kenneth was an assembler for five years with Standard Die and retired in 2003 as a machinist with Power Dyne.
Kenneth loved gardening, playing his banjo and guitar, archery, racing go-carts and riding his motorcycle. He also loved boating and water skiing and target shooting and was an avid bowler. He was a life member of the NRA.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn S. Forward Taylor of Trafalgar; a son, Gregory D. (Susan) Taylor of Greenwood; a daughter, Laura A. (Shawn) Cantlon of Greenwood; five brothers, Ronald and Jerry Taylor of Whiteland, Richard and Kevin Taylor of Greenwood, and Chuck Taylor of Illinois; a sister, Joanne Pierce of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jamie (Jay) Hansen, Jacqueline Sullender and Colton Taylor, all of Trafalgar; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Dale and Mikayla Hansen, all of Trafalgar.
Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by three brothers, Douglas, Lewis and Mike Taylor; and a sister, Darlene Chaney.
Bob Newlin will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
