Bill Eberbach passed away after a life well lived on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at age 92. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and embodied the virtues of compassion and charity. His intelligence and humor were legendary and will live on in the memories of all who knew him.
He loved books and was a masterful gardener who enjoyed sharing his knowledge and bounty with all.
His career accomplishments were many but never outshone his dedication to family, friends, community service, and the importance he placed on “doing the right thing.”
On March 24, 1950, he married his beloved June, who preceded him in death all too soon, as did his son, Rob.
He is survived by his children, Bill, Andrea and Catherine; his son-in-law, Gregg McCollam; his grandchildren, Brent Eberbach, Alexis Eberbach Ayre, Erica McCollam and Noah McCollam; and his great-grandchildren, Jackson and Merida Ayre. He also leaves a sister, Margaret. We will all miss him immeasurably.
Those who knew and loved Bill may join us to celebrate his life at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood. The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood.
