Billy Frank Hendley
Billy Frank Hendley, 74, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Whiteland.
He was born on May 31, 1938, in Hillsdale, Tenn., to Wilby and Ida Mae (Taylor) Hendley.
Survivors include his former wife, Marilyn (Snyder) Hendley; children, Bryan Hendley, Terri Webb, Steve Hendley, Tim Hendley and Carole Gettinger-Ellis; grandchildren, Stephanie Webb, Justin Webb, Kristin Moorefield, Austin Hendley, Brandon Moorefield, Logan Hendley, Madison Hendley and Morgan Hendley; great grandchild, Andre Webb; sisters, Louise, Mary, Susie, Sarah amd Lilly; and brothers, Walter, Wilbur Jr. and Ray.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and sister, Margie.
He was in the U.S. National Guard having worked at Stout Field.
Billy owned and operated his own gas station and upholstery shop. He worked for Roadway Express for 18 years. He re-opened his upholstery shop and worked in real-estate until his retirement.
He enjoyed remodeling homes and collecting and working on classic cars.
A service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time. A committal service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
