Donald R. Haynam, 75, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at his Indianapolis residence. He was a former resident of Minerva, Ohio.
He was born Nov. 8, 1937, in East Rochester, Ohio, to the late Donald W. and Ella (Ray) Haynam. He was a 1955 graduate of Minerva High School.
He enjoyed skydiving and was a member of the U.S. Parachute Association and made nearly 2,000 jumps. He was an MG enthusiast, doing both restoration and touring. He was a member of the Hoosier A’s MG Club and the Olde Octogons of Indiana. He also enjoyed golfing.
Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma J. Haynam; a son, Steven (Piper) Haynam; two daughters, Susan (Jack) Wilker and Sharon (Shawn) Atwell; two sisters, Joan (John) Imdorf and Nancy (Rob) Rauber; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor Robert Rohrman will conduct a memorial service beginning at 3 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
