Clare M. Anders
Mr. Clare M. Anders, 68, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at his Bargersville home.
He was born on April 15, 1944, in Comstock Park, Mich., a son of Cleo R. and Mildred (Manly) Anders. His mother survives.
Clare married Donna J. (Wide) Anders on Dec. 13, 1975. She survives.
Other survivors include his son, Shane Service; his daughter, Shelly (David) Foley; his sisters, Karen (Bud) Smit, Sharen (Tom) Trahan and Kathy (David) Wigutoff; and three grandchildren, Kendon Service, and Emma and Ethan Foley.
Clare graduated from Michigan State University.
He was a member of First Christian Church of Bargersville and was very active in Servants At Work (SAW) at the church.
He enjoyed animals, fishing, landscaping at his home and traveling. He was an avid Indiana University basketball fan and loved spending time with his family.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church of Bargersville, 101 East St. Dr. Kenneth Lee Rickett will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church for SAW.
