Tyler Lee Armacost

Tyler Lee Armacost, 27, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born on Sept. 10, 1985, in Muncie, to Scott and Karen (Goen) Armacost. They lovingly survive in Franklin.

He also is survived by his two brothers, Brandon Armacost of Etna Green and Austin Armacost and husband, Jake Lees, of West Yorkshire, England. Also surviving are maternal grandparents, Jack and Pat Goen of Muncie.

He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandparents, James and Betty Armacost.

Tyler attended Franklin Community Schools for many years. He was a 2004 graduate of Edinburgh Community High School. He attended Franklin College.

He proudly served two tours of duty in Iraq with the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne, 1st Battalion 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment. He was also a member of the Indiana National Guard.

Tyler was a member of the Whiteland Veterans of Foreign Wars. One of Tyler’s favorite pastimes was spending hours watching films. There wasn’t an actor he didn’t know, a movie he couldn’t name, or a scene he couldn’t re-enact. He and his father watched the Harry Potter series well over 100 times.

He was a caring, loving, selfless man who would give you the Ed Hardy shirt off his back.

A celebration of Tyler’s life will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
