Douglas Bryan Edwards
Douglas Bryan Edwards, 55, passed away at his Franklin residence on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
He was born Sept. 25, 1957, in Beech Grove, to William Edward and Kathryn (Derr) Edwards.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Yvonne (Woodbury) Edwards, whom he married on Feb. 14, 1979.
Other survivors include his mother, Kathryn Edwards, of Cincinnati, formerly of Greenwood; a son, Jeremy (Amanda Bolyard) Edwards of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Meagan Edwards of Franklin; a grandson, Owen D. Edwards of Franklin; a brother, William G. Edwards of Bowling Green; and a sister, Annette (Hans) Kraemer of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in passing by his father, William; and a grandson, Mason D. Edwards.
Doug was a 1975 graduate of Greenwood Community High School. He attended classes at IUPUI. He was employed by Eli Lilly & Co. in Indianapolis as a senior specialist engineer for 27 years.
Doug was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church and the Franklin Elks Lodge No. 1818.
The Rev. Bill Horner will conduct a celebration of Doug’s life at 5 p.m. Friday at Tabernacle Christian Church, 198 N. Water St., Franklin. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin, is handling arrangements.
