Michael E. Mull
Dr. Michael E. Mull, 60, of Indianapolis, died at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis.
Born in Connersville on March 4, 1952, Mike was the son of Boyd E. Mull and Charleen (Crowe) Mull. He married Patricia M. Laureto on Aug. 6, 1977.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years; and two daughters, Lauren E. Mull and Melissa E. Mull, both of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike graduated from Connersville High School in 1970, where he was class president his junior and senior years. He graduated from Indiana Central College, now known as the University of Indianapolis, in 1974, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to attend Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, now known as the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated in 1979 with a doctorate of podiatry degree and a bachelor of science degree.
After completing his formal education, Mike started private practices in Columbus and Franklin. While serving his patients for 34 years, many of whom he considered close friends and family, he earned several additional certifications including board certification from the ABPM, C. Ped and CWS.
Mike was a 32nd-degree Mason at Franklin Lodge No. 107 and a member of the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite.
He enjoyed bicycling, walking and playing tennis and was an avid volunteer for many organizations. He loved his family, especially his daughters, who were the light of his life.
Mike will always be remembered for his warm and caring heart. He will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, 3855 25th St., Columbus, with the Rev. David Lee officiating. A time of fellowship will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be 1 at p.m. March 9 at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Sellersburg.
