William C. Livesay, 79, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of Edinburgh.
He was born Oct. 25, 1933, to the late Wiley N. and Mary (Koontz) Livesay. He married JoAnn (Lee) Livesay on May 6, 1956. She preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 2011.
Survivors include his children, Wiley “Clay” (Mischelle) Livesay and Mary (Ryan) Beever, both of Edinburgh, and Linda L. (Loren) Dilts of Nineveh; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Bobbie June Blankley of Powell, Tenn., and Rhonda Gale (Mike) Loy of Strawberry Plains, Tenn.
He was retired from the U.S. Navy, serving from September 1952 to July 1971. He was a member of Edinburgh American Legion Post 233.
He was retired from David R. Webb Co. in Edinburgh, where he was employed as a foreman.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and woodworking.
Pamela Camp will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial with military graveside rites by Edinburgh American Legion Post 233 will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
