Hauk Ging Yee
Hauk Ging Yee, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013.
He was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Guangdong, China, to the late Lee Chow and Foon Sum Yee. He married Tew (Lee) in 1956 in San Francisco. She preceded him in death in 2000.
Hauk was one of the founders of Lotus Garden and cooked at the Greenwood location for many years.
Survivors include his stepmother, Yuet Yee; a daughter, Berniece Ashley; a son, Leo (Debra) Yee; five siblings, Virginia (James) Steckley, Jenny Yee, King (Peony) Yee, Lily (Jay) Teng and Henry (Audrey) Yee; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ngon G. Yee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
