Brenda Carol Wesley
Brenda Carol Wesley, 62, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was born Nov. 22, 1950, in Bloomington to William Grant and Evelyn (Bennett) Kennedy.
She married James “Jim” Arlis Wesley on Feb. 26, 1972. He lovingly survives in Franklin.
Other survivors include her mother, Evelyn Kennedy of Columbus; three loving daughters, Felicia (Jay) Miller of Flat Rock, Mich., and Cyndi Wesley-Wright and Deanna (Aaron) Kirkwood, both of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Hunter, Jack, Ty and Ella Joyce; one sister, Donna Richard of Columbus; one brother, David (Nancy) Kennedy of New Albany; mother-in-law, Elma Joyce Wesley; and a large extended family.
She was preceded in passing by her father, William.
She attended Taylorsville Elementary School and was a 1969 graduate of Columbus High School.
Brenda was a Longaberger consultant. She also worked and volunteered for numerous United Way of Johnson County agencies, including Girls Inc., Youth Connections, Head Start and Girl Scouts.
She was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Columbus.
A service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
