Edith Yager, 79, of Indianapolis, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis.
She is survived by her husband, Paul D. Yager of Indianapolis; six sons, Dale Sachtleben of Texas, Clay Sachtleben, Mark Byrd, Stanley Byrd, Paul Alan Yager, and Jeff Yager, all of Indianapolis; four daughters, Kay Mercer of Texas, Jean Sachtleben and Rose Teague, both of Indianapolis, and Joann Collins of Franklin; one brother, Henry Ford of Indianapolis; 29 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruby (Gilliam) Ford; and a son, Phil Sachtleben.
A service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
