Donald E. Oakes, 93, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. He was a resident of Beech Grove.
Survivors include his wife,
Evelyn (Rahrar) Oakes; children, Sharon (Richard) Listenberger of McCordsville and Ronald
(Eleanor) Oakes of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Marguerite (Rosberg) Oakes.
A memorial service will be at
5 p.m. Tuesday at Southside Church of the Nazarene, 2447
E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis.
Singelton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Indianapolis is handling arrangements.
