Katheryn Louise Blackwell Morris, 84, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in Franklin. She was a longtime resident of Bargersville.
She was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Monroe County, the daughter of Clell and Edith (Terrell) Blackwell.
She married John Boone Morris on Sept. 18, 1948. He preceded her in passing on Jan. 2, 1997.
Survivors include a son, Gary (Sharon) Morris of Bargersville; grandchildren, Randy (Cathy) Morris, Beth (William) Wethington, Ben (Claire) Morris, Megan (John) Clarkson and Chris Morris; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Sidney Katheryn, Sigourney, Sophia, Margaret and Arlo Boone; and siblings, Ermol Blackwell of Franklin, Doris Shaffer and Phillip Blackwell, both of Drake, Colo., Tom Blackwell of Lotus Grove, Okla., JoAnn Willbinks of Franklin, Tenn., Bill Blackwell of Greenwood and Ronnie Blackwell of Rapid City, S.D.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband, John Boone; infant son, John Robert Morris; son, Randall Boone Morris; and siblings, Kenneth “Nippy” Blackwell, Inez Dickey, George Blackwell and Don Blackwell.
Katheryn and her husband, John Boone, were farmers in the Bargersville community.
She was a member of Mount Zion Church in Franklin. She was very involved with her church for many years.
She enjoyed crocheting and most enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. She loved to spend time with her family and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
