Gleela Ann Critser

Gleela Ann Critser, 63, of Shelbyville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born Jan. 24, 1949, in Paxton, she was the daughter of Robert Nelson and Mary Ada (Hansford) Rash Simpson.

She married her loving and devoted husband, Robert D. “Bob” Critser, on April 29, 1981; and he survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Todd (Susan) Stocklin of Shelbyville and Randy (Angie) Stocklin of Indianapolis; two daughters, Stephanie (Mick) Wise and Kelly (Chris) Stephens, both of Shelbyville; four brothers, Floyd (Betty Lou) Rash of Jasonville, Dean (Ruth) Rash and Robert ( Reba) Simpson, both of Shelbyville, and Bob (Donna) Banks of Ladoga; two sisters, Betty Rady and Carolyn Robertson, both of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren, Jordan Wise, Jared Wise, Sammy Stocklin, Nolan Stocklin, Rylie Stephens, Lanie Stephens and Kade Stephens; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sonny Simpson; and a sister, Virginia Simpson.

Gleela was a nearly lifelong Shelby County resident and graduated from Southwestern High School in 1967.

She was a member of Harvest Life Community Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Gleela was a homemaker and enjoyed her time with friends and family.

Funeral services will be at

10 a.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. The Rev. Robert Simpson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelbyville.
