Vivian E. Miller, 99, of Franklin, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.

She was born May 8, 1913, in Garrett to George D. and Ollie Sriver Shondell. She married Leroy Paul Miller March 30, 1934; and he preceded her in death Feb. 4, 1992.

Survivors include her children, Judith E. (Jon) Ford, Nancy L. (Dick) Powell and David S. (Kathy) Miller; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was a secretary for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), retiring in 1979.

Vivian was a longtime member of Irvington Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder, and was a past matron of the Irvington chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Indiana Business Women’s Organization. She volunteered at various other organizations.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 S. Johnson Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219.
