Melvina Jane Carney, 96, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at her residence in Franklin.
Survivors include a son, Charles L. Carney of Michigan; two daughters, Charlene A. Carney of Indiana and Lydia J. Moore Hatting of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis F. and Pearl Mae (Baker) Yorger; her husband, John Caylor Carney; a sister, Millard Huffman; and one grandson.
The Rev. Charles Stanley will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ransford Chapel of the Indiana Masonic Home, 690 S. State St., Franklin. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the chapel. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
