Vivian Carol Gruner
Vivian Carol Gruner, 81, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, in Columbus. She was a longtime resident of Nineveh.
She was born Feb. 20, 1931, in Indianapolis.
Vivian and Leo Paul Gruner were married in 1951. He preceded her in passing July 5, 2005.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Tames of Franklin and Bonnie (Robert) Wilson of Nineveh; a son, Randy (Audria) Gruner of Bargersville; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Victor (Wanita) Denton; and two sisters, Ruth Ann (Jack) Key and Sarah Ferrero.
She also was preceded in passing by two brothers, Oscar Haynie and Clayton Denton.
Vivian was employed by Nineveh and Indian Creek schools as a cook in the cafeteria. She retired after several years of service.
She was a Girl Scout leader and loved to do crafts.
Vivian was a former member of the Nineveh Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She so enjoyed the turkey dinners they would prepare.
A memorial gathering will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) Franklin.
