Dorthea Evelyn Hatcher 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include her husband, Herman J. Hatcher; sons, Dennis J. (Theresa) Hatcher of Elk River, Minn., and Richard Lee (Linda) Hatcher of Indianapolis; a daughter, Deidre J. (Albert) Cornell of Martinsville; brothers, Bobby (Nancy) Dennis of Cloverdale, Tim (Suzanne) Dennis of Kentucky, David (Luann) Dennis of Angola, Doug (Diane) Dennis of Lizton; half-brother, Allen (Carolyn) Norris of New Ross; sisters, Wilma Crow and Joyce (James) Jenkins, both of Tennessee, Bernice (Harvey) Cunningham of Auburn, Darlene (Raymond) Carter of Memphis, Tennessee, and Lucy Brock of Camby; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Lee Dennis and Edith Iniz (Hall) Dennis and brother, Don Dennis.
The Rev. Tom Blossom will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31, Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
