G.R. “Tommy” Crowder
G.R. “Tommy” Crowder, 74, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at his residence in Franklin.
He was born Feb. 20, 1938, in Marion County, Ala., the son of Guy and Mona Belle (Lann) Crowder.
He married Cecelia Jane (Hogue) Crowder on Dec. 31, 1962. She lovingly survives in Franklin.
Other survivors include two sons, Thomas R. (Lisa) Crowder and G.R. (Aleta) Crowder Jr., both of Bargersville; a daughter, Lisa D. (Jeff) Hamm of Franklin; a sister, Jo Ann (Andy) Anderson of Franklin; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; a brother, Charles Crowder; and a brother-in-law, Andy Anderson.
Tommy was a business owner of a third-generation timber company for nearly 40 years. He semi-retired in 2000.
He was a member of Bargersville Church of Christ.
Thomas Sigler and Rob Aanonsen will conduct a celebration of Tommy’s life at 3 p.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends and family may call from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
