Brent Fricke, 43, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Bargersville.
He was born May 26, 1969, in Fort Wayne to Thomas and Florence (Schrank) Fricke. He grew up in Greenwood and graduated from Center Grove High School in 1987.
He found his passion when he began working for Dreyer and Reinbold Dealership in Greenwood as the parts manager, where he worked for 15 years.
Brent married Abby Kear in 1992 in Fort Wayne. They had two amazing boys, Logan and Alex.
He was an avid promoter of the local music community as well as a fan of sports, such as IU, the Colts, IndyCar and any sports his sons played.
Brent is survived by his parents, Thomas and Florence Fricke of Greenwood; his spouse, Abby of Bargersville; his sons, Logan and Alex; his sister and brother-in-law, Christa Fricke and Todd Piecuch of Aurora, Ill.; and his mother-in-law, Macy Kear.
A celebration of life will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 252, 334 U.S. 31 South, Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers and cards, the family requests donations be made to the Brent Fricke Memorial Fund to assist in continuing his sons’ education. Checks and money orders can be sent to Fifth Third Bank, Attn: Brent Fricke Memorial Fund, 106 N. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46142.
