Mary Edna Beck Harbert
Mary Edna Beck Harbert, 93, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Greenwood Health & Living Center.
The daughter of Gottlieb Ernest and Nora Cordia Rush Beck, she was born Dec. 16, 1918, in Johnson County.
A homemaker, she worked in housekeeping at the Franklin United Methodist Home and later with the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Mary was a member of Mount Auburn United Methodist Church at Stones Crossing.
Mary is survived by her children, David (June) Harbert of Greenwood, John Harbert of Indianapolis, Susan (John) Hobson of Greenwood and Roy (Nancy) Harbert of Greenwood; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Laddie L. Harbert, whom she married on Nov. 16, 1940; three brothers, Don, Ray and Paul Beck; and two sisters, Hazel Beck and Gladys Perkins.
The Rev. J. Wesley Hertel will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
