Anna Mae McTarsney
Anna Mae McTarsney, 82, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at the Franklin United Methodist Community, where she was residing. She was a longtime resident of Franklin.
Anna was born on Jan. 25, 1930, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Walter and Delphia (Crafton) Thompson.
She married Leroy McTarsney Sr. on Dec. 15, 1947. He preceded her in passing on Feb. 4, 2003.
Survivors include eight children, Leroy (Jenny) McTarsney, Larry “Gene” (Kathy) McTarsney, Michael (Melanie) McTarsney, Morris (Sheila) McTarsney, Helen (Bruce) Throckmorton, Sherman McTarsney, David (Bellame) Ferrell and Fay (Rob) Critney; more than 40 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Leroy; son, Anthony McTarsney; grandchildren, Michael Wayne McTarsney, Matt Throckmorton and Angela McTarsney; brothers, Carl, Norman, Buddy and Junior; and sister, Betty Felix.
She attended Indian Creek schools.
Anna was employed by GM Truck and Bus in Indianapolis, retiring after several years.
She was a faithful member of Jevohah’s Witness, Kingdom Hall in Franklin.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. Friends and family may call on from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
