Marjorie Grider, 78, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012. She was a resident of Trafalgar.
She was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Tompkinsville, Ky., to the late Johnnie and Mattie (Thurman) Hale. She married Everett D. Grider. He survives.
Other survivors include her children, Douglas (Janell) Grider of Science Hill, Ky., and Tammy Link of Trafalgar; siblings, Joe Hale of Indianapolis, Veeda Buening of Linton, Eva Thornton and Carolyn Thornton, both of Greenwood; and grandchildren, Seth Grider, Kimberly Link and Katie Link.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth, Revel and Armel Hale, Mabel Crouch and Barbara Amonet.
She was a member of Ebineezer Baptist Church in Tompkinsville, Ky.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, quilting and flowers.
The Rev. Homer Whited will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh.
Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
