Janet E. Fivecoat, 86, of Edinburgh, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
She was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Bartholomew County to the late Harry H. and Melva (McEvenue) Hartman. She married Robert H. Fivecoat on Feb. 1, 1947. He died April 19, 1998.
She is survived by her children, Carl F. (Colleen) Fivecoat of Edinburgh, Dortha Jo (Greg) Joyce of Indianapolis, Jean L. (Doug) Long of Greensburg and H. Jill (Tom Dankovich) Fivecoat of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg and Edinburgh American Legion Auxiliary.
She was a graduate of St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She formerly co-owned Bob & Mac’s Wholesale in Greensburg and most recently owned Driftwood Camp in Edinburgh.
A memorial service will be at noon Thursday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh, with the Rev. Robert E. Hock officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
