Virginia L. Adams
Virginia L. (Wineinger) Adams, 81, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Franklin.
Virginia was born July 10, 1931, in French Lick to Cleo and Ida Lois (Collins) Wineinger. She married Donald E. Adams on May 23, 1993.
She was a cashier for Standard Grocery in Franklin for 20 years.
Virginia enjoyed traveling out west. She was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church in Franklin. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Donald E. Adams of Franklin; five children, Doug Kerns of Colorado, Steve Kerns of North Carolina, Kathy Webb of Mooresville, Lynn Ditton of Indianapolis and Cindy Ditton of Kentucky; two stepchildren, Robert Adams and Kathy Eppard, both of Arizona; a sister, Lois “Marti” Wineinger of Indianapolis; four brothers, Clifford Wineinger of Greenwood, Ed Wineinger of Iowa, and Jim Wineinger and Gary Wineinger, both of Florida; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bill and Dean Wineinger.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
