Amanda Turner, formerly of Indianapolis, and Alex James Love, formerly of Hayden, were married Oct. 20, 2013, in an outdoor lakeside ceremony at Burdette Park in Evansville. A celebration and meal followed at the Bishea building near the lake.
Alex is the son of Al and Judy Love of Hayden and the grandson of James and Evelyn Bunch of Seymour. His uncle is Jim Bunch, and his cousin is Brooke Bunch, both of Pekin. Amanda is the daughter of James and Mary Turner of Danville.
A local reception is planned for the couple from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Hayden Methodist Church.
Lunch and desserts will be served. The desserts include a wedding cake topped with a ceramic bride and groom from Alex’s grandparent’s wedding cake from Nov. 3, 1951. The newlyweds and the grandparents, James (Jim) and Evelyn Bunch, will celebrate their vows with a group toast.
Invitations are not being sent, but all friends are invited to attend the luncheon for a meet-and-greet with the newlyweds.
Both attended the University of Southern Indiana, where Alex graduated with a degree in philosophy and Amanda has nearly completed a degree in art.
The couple will live at 774 Douglas Drive, Evansville.
