Ray Richard and Margaret Louise Beickman Younger plan to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 2 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 403 W. Bridge St., Brownstown.
All friends and family are invited. The couple requests no gifts.
Ray Richard Younger and the former Margaret Louise Beickman were married Aug. 1, 1954, at Tyson Temple United Methodist Church in Versailles.
The couple has two children, Rhonda Kidd, Corydon, and the late Jeff Younger; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
She is a homemaker but previously worked for Hammer’s Variety Store, Brownstown Greenhouse and Jay C Food Store. She is a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
He is retired owner of Hamilton Motors Ford in Brownstown, where he worked from 1952 to 1996. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, where he has been an elder and participated on the dart ball team. He was a member of the Brownstown Chamber of Commerce before retirement.
