Gary and Betty Robinson Cooley celebrated their 50th anniversary with family and friends on June 7 with an open house at Peace Lutheran Church.
Several family members joined them later in the day for dinner at a restaurant in Seymour.
The couple were married June 5, 1964, by the Rev. Ray Whitton at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Seymour, which is now Peace Lutheran Church.
The Cooleys have two children, Shelley Hackman, Seymour, and Gary S. (Andrea) Cooley, Jeffersonville; and three grandchildren, Brittany (Brent) Burcham, Tyler Hackman and Tristan Cooley.
She retired as a day care cook from Central Christian Church. She enjoys antiques, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles and family, most of all the grandchildren. She is the daughter of the late Howard and Christena Guthrie Robinson.
He retired as manager from Kruwell Block Inc. He enjoys outdoor activities, antiques, woodworking, family and especially his grandkids. He is the son of the late Albert and Elsie Mae Toborg Cooley.
The Cooleys enjoy traveling and have planned a couple of vacations yet this year.
