Theron D. and Lois A. Mires of Elizabethtown are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. today at East Columbus United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
Mr. Mires and the former Lois A. Waltz were married July 28, 1963, at East Columbus United Methodist Church by the Rev. Buell Dalton.
Mr. Mires retired from Cummins Inc. and Mrs. Mires is a retired teacher.
The couple have two children, Melinda (David) Foust of Columbus and Theron L. (Jill) Mires of Madison. They also have four grandchildren.
