Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. King of Franklin are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with their family.
Mr. King and his wife, the former Betty McDonald, were married July 3, 1948, at New Prospect Baptist Church in Hanover.
He served in the European theater in World War II and retired from Norplex Corp.
She retired from Mutual Savings and Loan, where she was a bookkeeper.
They have five children, Shirley (Dana) DePrez and Cindy King, both of Franklin, Jerry (Jane) King of Greenwood, Melody (Charles) Jordan of Greenfield and Susan (Steve) Smith of Madison; six grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
