Mr. and Mrs. Donald King of Franklin are celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary.
Mr. King and his wife, the former Betty McDonald, were married July 3, 1948, in Jefferson County.
He served in the U.S. Army in Europe in World War II, where he was a prisoner of war. He is retired from Whirlpool Corp. and Norplex in Franklin.
She is retired from Mutual Building and Loan in Franklin.
The couple have five children, Shirley (Dana) DePrez, Jerry (Jane) King, Cindy King, Melody (Charles) Jordan and Susan (Steve) Smith; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
