A father and son from Washington, D.C., wanted to take in the Super Bowl festivities but had no plans to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to see rapper 50 Cent or the Rolling Stones.

They won their tickets to Indianapolis and the Super Bowl in a contest on Facebook, which brought them to the southside Hilton Garden Inn. Arthur and David Washington planned their day’s events while waiting for a shuttle Friday morning: Super Bowl Village, St. Elmo Steak House, Fashion Mall at Keystone, downtown clubs.

They are in town for four nights. David Washington entered a Bridgestone Tires contest on Facebook and won a free trip to the big game.

David Washington has been to a Super Bowl before. A huge football fan, he goes to most Redskins home games, even though he’s not a season ticket holder.
