Weather service issues flood alert

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a flood warning for the Driftwood River at Edinburgh from late Thursday night to Saturday afternoon.

The river was at 6.1 feet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the weather service. Flood stage is 11 feet.

Minor flooding is forecast, the weather service said. The Driftwood is expected to rise above flood stage by early Friday morning and continue to rise to near 11.4 feet by early Saturday.
