Franklin College Service Learning Coordinator Doug Grant received an award from Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Franklin for his efforts in getting college students to work at the facility as volunteers.

Franklin College students volunteered more than 2,000 hours last year.

For his work, Grant was awarded the Silent Support Award during the assisted living community’s recent National Volunteer Day celebration.

Seniors at the facility created flower pots for each of the volunteers recognized during the ceremony.
