Four residents found batteries had been stolen out of their vehicles at a Greenwood apartment complex Tuesday.

Greenwood police investigated four thefts on North Paz Drive at Sandstone Court Apartments, near U.S. 31 and County Line Road.

A woman who lives at the complex called police about 8 a.m. Wednesday to report that someone popped open the hood of her car and stole the battery. The theft occurred after 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the report.

While at the complex, an officer found three other vehicles that had batteries stolen out of them. The batteries were estimated at $100 each, the report said.
