Undercover heroin sale leads to woman’s arrest

Follow Daily Journal:

A Greenwood woman was arrested on a charge of dealing narcotics after police said she sold heroin to an undercover officer.

Amy Berti, 30, met with an undercover officer Jan. 27 and sold 1.5 grams of heroin for $120, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report. Between Jan. 27 and Feb. 5, the officer and Berti communicated by phone and text message, and Berti attempted to arrange heroin deals.

On Jan. 31, the undercover officer again met with Berti, spending $100 on what, when tested, proved to be an imitation heroin, the report said.

Berti, 1086 Sycamore Court, was being held in the Johnson County jail on $40,000 bond.
