A passer-by who wanted to look at Cadillacs on Thanksgiving morning called police after finding six cars at a Greenwood lot were missing their tires and wheels.
The theft was discovered just before 8 a.m. Thursday at Lockhart Cadillac, 1287 U.S. 31 South. All four wheels and tires had been taken from six cars. Four cars were sitting on the brake hubs, while the other two were propped up by propane gas cans, a Greenwood Police Department report said.
The total cost of the 24 wheels and tires stolen was about $18,000, the report said.
