Third person arrested in Greenwood Spice case

Police arrested a third person they said sold Spice out of a tobacco store in Greenwood.

Kaushikkumar Shantilal Joshi, 34, 2505 Arbor Lake Lane, Apt. 614, Indianapolis, was arrested on a warrant Monday. He is charged with four counts of dealing a synthetic drug, according to the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to a police report, Joshi sold synthetic marijuana, also known as Spice, to police during an undercover investigation while working at Low Bob’s Discount Tobacco, 713 Fry Road, Greenwood.

In March, police arrested Sonal Y. Parikh, 59, on two counts of dealing synthetic marijuana and Yogesh B. Parikh, 64, on one count of dealing synthetic marijuana. The couple own the Greenwood tobacco store.

Joshi was arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was released on $32,000 bond.
