When he bumped into retired NFL stars Troy Aikman and Lynn Swann outside St. Elmo Steak House downtown, the man was prepared for the encounter.
Carl Smith, a grocery store manager from Yorktown, pulled out a Sharpie marker that was clipped to his shirt and got them to sign his baseball cap and pose for photos.
He also got his friend to take a picture of him next to a Playboy playmate, spotted “Survivor” star Rupert Boneham and chatted outside St. Elmo with a Colombian woman, who told him she was related to Gisele Bundchen, the supermodel who’s married to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
“It’s just been awesome,” Smith said.
