Police are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Greenwood on Monday afternoon. The man walked into First Merchants Bank, 1275 U.S. 31 North, at 2:20 p.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. He did not show a weapon, according to a news release.

The man left with an undetermined amount of money, the release said.

He was last seen running toward Greenwood Park Mall, Greenwood Police Department assistant chief Matt Fillenwarth said.

The man is described as being in his mid-50s, 5-feet-8, with scruffy facial hair. During the robbery he wore glasses, a tan hat, blue jeans and a red shirt that was later found in the mall parking lot, Fillenwarth said.

Police still are investigating the robbery, and anyone with any information is asked to call 887-0300, Fillenwarth said.
