A Franklin Community High School student was arrested this week after police said he brought synthetic marijuana to school.
Vasya Neil Hoadley, 19, 1233 Creekstone Way, Franklin, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana.
On Thursday, several students told a Franklin Police Department officer who was working at the high school that a student identified as Hoadley had shown synthetic marijuana, or spice, to classmates, according to a Franklin Police Department report.
School administrators spoke with Hoadley, who was then read his rights and questioned by the officer. Hoadley told the officer that another student left the synthetic marijuana in his bag in a restroom Wednesday. He found the drug when he was going through his bag later that night and brought it back to school to turn into school officials and police, the report said.
The teen told the officer he showed the drug to students because he needed to know how to turn it in, the report said. Hoadley was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was being held on $1,000 bond.
