Dr. Richard D. Feldman recently won the 2014 Nikitas J. Zervanos Outstanding Program Director Award from the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors.
Feldman is the director of the Franciscan St. Francis Health Family Medicine Residency Program. He was recognized for his contributions to the community and for being a mentor to residents.
Feldman also directs the medical education program at Franciscan St. Francis and holds several elected appointments with the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, the Indianapolis Medical Society and Indiana State Medical Association. He has served as president of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians and is past president of the Indiana Medical History Museum.
An Indianapolis resident, Feldman served as Indiana State Health Commissioner from 1997 to 2001.
