A partnership between two animal groups is offering spaying and neutering services at a reduced price of $33 for cats and $53 for dogs.
The Humane Society of Johnson County and Petsalive offer the reduced cost spaying and neutering services.
All animals must be vaccinated against rabies. The shots are available at an additional fee.
Spaying or neutering helps reduce the number of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. Spaying and neutering also reduces the risk of pets developing reproductive cancer, lowers the chance of undesirable behavior or aggression and adds to the animals’ health and well-being, according to the humane society.
