Show choirs take home top honors at contest

A local high school show choir earned first place in a weekend competition.

Whiteland Community High School’s Rhythm Masters won grand champion honors in the small mixed division at the statewide competition at Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis.

The group also earned awards for best vocals, best choreography and best costumes. Ivy Bott was named outstanding soloist in a show.

Center Grove’s CG Singers was named grand champion at the Midwest Showcase in Huntington.
