Sheriff’s office schedules blood drive, drug hand-in

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will host a blood drive and drug take-back event Sept. 7.

The office is having a community day that will include an opportunity to give blood in honor of any Indiana law enforcement officer who died in the line of duty. Deputies also will collect unwanted or outdated prescription medications.

Sheriff’s deputies will display deputies’ cars, create identification cards for children and talk with residents about the youth assistance and crime prevention programs.
