A woman was arrested after police say she punched a girl several times.
Stephanie Delongchamp, 28, 40 Grassy Dr., New Whiteland, was arrested on charges of battery, domestic battery, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
An officer saw Delongchamp punch a girl several times in the stomach in the backseat of a car near Sawmill and Tracy roads, according to a report from the New Whiteland Police Department.
The girl told police that Delongchamp had pulled her hair, and officers noticed scratch marks on the girl’s chest, tricep, and forearm. Zachary Delongchamp, the husband of Stephanie Delongchamp, also had scratches from being hit, the report said.
She kicked and cursed at police when she was being arrested and was taken to the hospital to be checked out because she had been drinking, the report said.
Delongchamp was being held in Johnson County jail on $18,000 bond.
