More than a half-dozen Greenwood residents awoke Sunday to discover that someone had spray-painted their vehicles or homes, according to police.
Vandals spray-painted seven vehicles or homes near Broadway Street late Saturday or early Sunday, Greenwood Police Department Assistant Chief Matt Fillenwarth said. Someone also spray-painted an obscene phrase on a guardrail in the neighborhood, and a woman found her Christmas lights had been cut.
All nine incidents took place on Broadway, Pearl or Water streets, Fillenwarth said. The vandalism involved vulgar words or drawings or the phrase SK8.
Fillenwarth said one resident found spray-paint on her front door, and another resident’s garage door was vandalized.
No one saw any of the vandalism or reported any suspicious activity, and police had not made any arrests, he said.
