A “Dancing with the Stars” choreographer is heading to Indianapolis this month to conduct an event promoting women’s health and wellness.
Chelsie Hightower, a professional ballroom dancer and choreographer, will bring her expertise for the 10th annual Spirit of Women Day of Dance.
The event, sponsored by Franciscan St. Francis Health, starts at 9 a.m. Feb. 23, inside the Farm Bureau Building at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St.
The event, which continues through mid-afternoon, is for women of all ages, offering dancing and other aerobic activities.
Hightower has appeared on the dance reality show “So You Think You Can Dance” and has partnered with athletes and other stars in her role on “Dancing with the Stars” including Indy car driver Helio Castroneves.
The Indiana Pacemates will also be on hand at the event.
Refreshments will be provided, and participants are eligible to receive raffle prizes. Admission to Day of Dance is free, but advanced registration is strongly encouraged as the number of participants will be limited to 550.
