Police are looking for a man who robbed a Greenwood pharmacy at gunpoint Wednesday night.

Witnesses told police a man in his mid-20s entered the Walgreens on State Road 135 just before midnight and drew a gun on the pharmacist before demanding the pharmacist give him medications, according to a Greenwood Police Department news release.

The suspect took Roxicodone, a narcotic pain reliever, and Xanax, an anxiety medication, from the store before leaving, the release said.

The robber ordered the pharmacist to lie face down on the floor, the release said.

Witnesses described the man as being about 5 feet 10 inches, weighing about 180 pounds and with a goatee.

Police do not have any suspects, Greenwood Assistant Police Chief Matt Fillenwarth said in an email.

Anyone with information can call the Greenwood Police Department Investigations Division at 887-5619.
